let third side=x
perimeter of triangle=42
atq
18+10+x=42
x=42-28
x=14 cm

herons formula
√S(S-A)(S-B)(S-C)
√21(21-18)(21-10)(21-14)
√21(3)(11)(7)
√21(21)(7)
21√11

Given, two sides of triangle are 18 cm and 10 cm
Perimeter = 42 cm
Let, third side be x
Now, 18 + 10 + x = 42
28 + x = 42
x = 42 - 28 = 14 cm

Now, semi perimeter = 42 / 2 = 21 cm

By Herons formula,
Root[ s(s - a) ( s - b) ( s - c)]
Root [ 21 ( 21 - 14) (21 - 18) (21 - 10)]
Root [ 7*3 ( 7) ( 3) ( 11)]
7 * 3 root 11
21 root 11 cm²

Hope it helps you
