a) Hydrochloric acid is used for obtaining chloride salt as HCl has Cl` anion.

b) Since the gas liberated by squeezing lemon over a rock turns limewater milky ie it is carbon dioxide, then the compound present in the rock is calcium carbonate.

c) Pour a little of the chemical on a blue litmus paper. If the paper turns into red colour, then the chemical is acidic or if the paper doesn't change its colour, then it is basic in nature.
