n = 100

mean was 50.

So total sum = mean × n = 5000

but it was doing that one observation was taken as 100 which should be 110.

So the correct sum should be = 5000 - 100 + 110 = 5010

correct mean = 5010/100 = 50.1

_____________________________

When we replace the largest term by another term,

the number of observations remains same.

Earlier median and new median will still be the same, median = (100/2) + 1 = 51st term

Since the central observation is not changing, median will stay the same.
