HCL and HNO3 produces H+ ions on ionisation, so they show acidic character while alcohol and glucose do not produce H+ ions on ionisation so they do not show acidic characteristics.

Because HCl and HNO3 gives the hydrogen ions in water which is responsible for their acidic character but glucose and alcohol do not give the hydrogen in water therefore they don't show the acidic characters ...
