1. SOLID STATE

in solid state the particles are very close as compared to liquid the solid have definite shape district boundaries and a fixed volume that is having negligible compressibility solid 7 tendency to maintain the shape when subjected to outside force solid break under 4th but it difficult to change their shape so they are rigid .

2. THE LIQUID STATE

we observe that liquid have no fixed shape but have a fixed volume they take up the shape of the container in which they are kept liquid flow and change shape so they are not rigid but can be called as fluid the rate of diffusion of liquid is higher than that of solid this is due to the fact that is the liquid state particles move freely and have greater space between each other as compared to particles in the solid state

3. THE GASEOUS STATE

the gas also occupies space if we fill air in the balloon we can see that the balloon occupy space and also have a mass and weight the gaseous state the particles are very far away but also the gas can be stored or compressed in a cylinder that weird as a LPG and CNG liquefied Petroleum gas and compressed natural gas also had a liquid state that was converted into gas
