Q. 4 A ball is projected vertically up with an initial speed of 20 m/s and acceleration due to gravity is 10 m/s.
(a) How long does it take to reach the highest point? (b) How high does it rise above the point of projection?
(c) How long will it take for the ball to reach a point 10 m above the point of projection?

Answer:

As here motion is vertically upwards,

a=−g and v=0

(a) From 1st equaiton of motion, i.e., v=u+at,

0=20−10t⇒t=2sec.

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

  = 20 - 1/2 (10) (2)

  = 20-10 = 10

so, h = 10 m.

so, ans.  of (a) = 2 s.

                   (b) = 10 m.

                   (c) = 2 sec.

Here :-

20(5x) =1 25

125x = 125 \\ x =  \frac{125}{125}  \\ x = 1
