Given

Dome is to be painted, this means curved surface would be painted.

We have to calculate the curved surface area of the dome first.

Given

circumference of base = 17.6m

=> 2πr = 17.6m

=> r = 17.6 ÷ 2π

=> r = 17.6 ÷ (2 × 22/7)

=> r = 17.6 ÷ 44/7

=> r = 17.6 × 7/44

=> r = 2.8m

Also we know that curved surface area of a hemisphere = 2πr²

=> curved surface area = circumference × radius

=> curved surface area = 17.6 × 2.8

=> curved surface area = 49.28m²

Now cost of painting?

Given cost of painting 100cm² = ₹5

=> cost of painting 1 cm² = 5/100

49.28m² = 492800cm²

=> cost of painting = 492800 × 5/100

=> cost of painting = ₹24640

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️

Given circumference of the base of the dome is 17.6 m.

⇒ 2πr = 17.6

⇒ 2 * (22/7) * r = 17.6

⇒ 44r = 17.6 * 7

⇒ 44r = 123.2

⇒ r = 2.8 m.

⇒ r = 280 cm^2

We know that Curved surface area of the dome = 2πr^2

⇒ 2 * (22/7) * (280)^2

⇒ 2 * (22/7) * 78400

⇒ 2 * 22 * 11200

⇒ 492800 cm^2

Now,

Given, Cost of painting 100 cm^2 is 5.

Then, the cost of painting 1 cm^2 dome = 5/100

Therefore, the cost painting the whole dome = (5 * 492800)/100

⇒ 24640.

Therefore, the cost of painting = 24640/-.

Hope this helps!
