Between 4 and 8 there is difference of 4 Between 8 and 10 there is diff of 2 (which is half of 4) Between 5 and 9 there is diff of 4 Between 5 and 3 there is diff of 2 (which is half of 4) Between 20 and 14 there is diff of 6 Therefore between 14 and ? There is diff of half of 6=3 Therefore missing number is 14-3=11

The answer is 11...

According to my understanding, there is a difference of 2 between 10 and 8...Then that difference is multiplied by 2 between 8 and 4. Then again, between 3 and 5, there is a difference of 2...That difference is again multiplied by 2 between 5 and 9. So, if we take question mark as x, then, 20 - 14 = 6, thus difference between 20 and 14 should be twice than that of 14 - x...Which is 6 / 2 = x... Thus the difference between 14 and x = 3...Which means that x = 11...Thus, the missing number is 11...
