i) 4x , 3y , 6x², -9x²

Here we see that  6x² and -9x² are like terms, because they have the same coeffeicient which is x²

So here the like terms are 6x² and -9x²

Here we see that xy and 2xy are like terms because they have the same coeffeicient which is xy.

So here the like terms are  xy and 2xy

iii) 4xy ,  -5x²y , -3yx  , 2xy²

Here we see that  -3yx(can also be written as -3xy) and 4xy are like terms because they have the same coeffeicient which is xy.

So here the like terms are -3yx and 4xy
