No, this source of energy doesn't cause pollution because combustion of biogas, like natural gas, produces carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, the carbon in biogas comes from plant matter that fixed this carbon from atmospheric CO2. Thus, biogas production is carbon-neutral and does not add to greenhouse gas emissions
  3. two advantage of bio-gas is
  • bio-gas burns leaving no gas emissions
  • slurry is left which is used as an excellent manure
