(I) 2Cu2S + 3 O2 =2Cu2 O + 2So2

(ii) Cu2O + Cu2S = 6Cu + So2

(iii) At anode - Cu2+ + 2e- =Cu

At cathode - Cu= Cu2+ + 2e-
Hope it helped you!!

Hi there,

1. Roasting of copper sulphide

   2Cu2S + 3O2 ---->  2Cu2O + SO2

2. Reduction of copper oxide from copper sulphide

   2Cu2O + CuS ---->  6Cu + SO2

3. Electrolytic Refining

   At anode : Cu^2+  + 2e^-   ---> Cu

   At cathode : Cu ----->  Cu^2+  + 2e^-

In above equation 'e' has minus sign.
