n = 10/12 years.

We know that SI = PTR/100

                            = 8400 * 10 * 5/12 * 100

                            = 420000/1200

                            = 350.


Now,

Total amount paid by him = 8400 + 350

                                           = 8750.


Now,

EMI = 8750/10

       = 875.


Therefore the EMI = 875 rupees and the total amount paid by him = 8750 rs.
