In India more than 160 million people are considered as untouchables . Human abuse against these people and called them as Dalits . They were not allowed to walk with slippers on their feet in front of the upper class. They were treated very differently. Although the government banned this some still follows this rules.. The Dalits were not allowed to drink water from the same well and were not allowed to go to the same temples or drink water from the same cups .

Nearly 90% of all the poor Indians and 95% of the illiterate Indians are Dalits .
