1 )yes it will vary the closer the object the bigger the shadow the far the object shorter the shadow and close is dark coloured to comparatively than that of far one.
2)In morning the shadow would be at the front of the pole while in noon it will be in back.(This answer not too much sure).

For the hots question answer, no it will vary. as different sources of light are used, therefore the corresponding frequencies and hence wavelength of light will be different. therefore according to the diffraction pattern, different shades of dark spots will be formed (shadows).
