  • A car completes its journey in a straight line in three qual parts with speeds V₁, V₂ and V₃ respectively. The average speed V is given by

Option :-

(a) V₁ + V₂ + V₃ / 3

(b) √V₁ V₂ V₃

(c) 1/V = 1/V₁ + 1/V₂ + 1/V₃

(d) 3/V = 1/V₁ + 1/V₂ + 1/V₃

Given :-

  • d = V₁, t₁
  • t₁ = d/ V₁
  • t₂ = d/V₂
  • t₃ = d/V₃
