First case

first of all 36km/hr = 10m/s = v(final velocity)

0m/s=u(initial velocity

10sec=t(time)

therefore,

a=v-u/t

a =  \frac{10 - 0}{10}  \\ a =  \frac{10}{10}  \\ a = 1m \: per \:  {s}^{2}

In first case a=1m/s^2

In Second case,

u=10m/s

v=0m/s

t=20m/s

Now by applying the same formula (a=v-u/t)

a=0-10/20

a= -10/20

a= -0.5m/s^2

So in second case a= -0.5m/s^2

The correct option is option (a)
