vegatitive propagation is the process in which new plants are grown from stem, root and other non reproductive parts of parent plant.

advantages-

-due to this process, fruits and vegetables which have lost the ability to bear seeds can give reproduce new plants

ex- banana which lose ability to bear seeds can reproduce new plants

- the progeny is very similar to the parent with little variation. this can be useful to grow plants of specific variety

ex- specific variety of coffee
