Explanation:

1. Lencho's soul was filled with sadness as his crops of maize were destroyed due to hailstorm.
2. Lencho alleviates his sadness by writing a letter to god next day and requests him to send 100 pesos.
3. When Postmaster saw that Lencho had so much faith in god , he thought to help him out. He was a kind man and also amiable. He thought to cut off his as well as his employees' salary in order to help out Lencho . He also asked his relatives to donate some money for act of charity.

Aftermath:-

Lencho saw that he recieved only 70 pesos. So he angrily wrote again to god that he did not receive the full money and wrote that the post office workers have stolen the money and wanted to send the rest money back to him. This was the Irony of the story.

Irony:-

This means to give an surprising end to the story almost which had not been expected.

Everyone had expected that Lencho would be shocked to get money but such was his confidence and also wrote that post office employees were crooks AND stole the money but they only gave him the Money AS no one knows God's address.
