Three wooden cubes each of edge 30cm are joined side by side to form a cuboid. Find the volume of wood used in making the resulting cuboid.

When three wooden cubes of side 30 cm are joined end to end, then the length of the resulting cuboid is 30+30+ 30= 90 cm, breadth= 30 cm and height= 30 cm.

We know that

Volume of the wood used in making the resulting cuboid= Volume of the cuboid= Length×Breadth×Height

= 90×30×30

= 90×900 cm³

= 81000 cm³
