Let the common ratio be p.

Then,

-2/7p=m..... (i)

and

mp= (-7/2)(m+2)......(ii)

From (i), p= (-7/2)m

Substituting this in (ii),

m((-7/2)m)= (-7/2)(m+2)

m²=m+2

m²-m-2=0

Using quadratic formula we get that m=1 or m=(-2)
