Answer:

In this question case A acceleration is \frac{4g}{9} case B acceleration  \frac{g}{9}

Explanation:

If force F is applied on body it's equal to mass and acceleration.

Case(A):

m = 4kg

M = 5kg

We can make free body diagram of every object

Equation ,

mg-T= ma

where T is tension force in cable

4g - T = 4a  (i)

T = Ma   (ii)

T = 5a

putting value of T in equation 1

4g-5a = 4a

9a = 4g

a = \frac{4g}{9}

Case (B):

m = 4kg

M = 5kg

Equation,

5g-T = 5a (i)

T-4g = 4a(ii)

(i)-(ii)

5g - 4g = 9a

9a = g

a = \frac{g}{9}

Final answer

For case, A acceleration will be \frac{4g}{9}

For case, B acceleration will be \frac{g}{9}
