Answer:

26.67

Explanation:

Let the distance of trip be d

Average Speed =d+d÷(d÷20+d÷40)

Average Speed =2d÷(3d÷40)

Average speed =2d×40÷3d

Average speed is 80÷3

Therefore average speed is 26.67

Given,

Speed of Abdul while going to school = 20km h ^-1

Speed while returning = 40km h ^-1

Let,

The total distance covered while going to school = x

so,

Distance covered by returning home = x

so total distance covered = 2x

NOW,

AVERAGE SPEED = TOTAL DISTANCE / TOTAL TIME TAKEN

so,

total distance = 2x

Time taken to go school = x/20

Time taken to return home = x/40

So,

Total time taken = x/20 + x/40

= 3x/40

So,

Average speed = 2x/3x/40

= 2x*40/3x

= 80x/3x

80/3 km h ^-1

SO Mate this is the ans
