Explanation:
1) Dead cells on plants form a protective covering or a shell on their outer surface. As we know that plants do not perform locomotions i.e. they do not move, they need to protect themselves from the surrounding.
We see the hard layer on the outer surface the bark of tree those are their dead cells.
2) Animal cells are mostly alive because unlike plants they perform locomotions hence they can protect themselves from surrounding. Therefore most of their cells are alive.
3) So we can say that plants cannot move and animals can . Plants cannot collect food on their own but animals can.
