Active Voice :-

• In active voice sentence , when an action performed by the subject and is expressed by the verb is active voice sentence .

Passive Voice :-

• When the action expressed by the verb is recieved by the subject is known as passive voice .

Rules for changing active to passive voice:-

1. The object will come first.

2. The subject will go last

followed by the word "by".

3. The main verb will change to its past participle form.

4. If there are anything extra put them there.

5. According to tense, a be verb will come before the main verb.

For example:-

If the sentence is in Simple Present Tense then am/is/are is used.

If the sentence is in Simple Past Tense then was/were is used.

If the sentence is in Simple Future Tense then be is used.

If the sentence is in Continuous Tense then being is used.

If the sentence is in Perfect Tense then been is used.

Some Examples:-

1. He gives me a story book.

Passive voice:- A story book is given to me by him.

2. She had sung a beautiful song.

Passive voice:- A beautiful song had been sung by her.
