Given ,

So apply the formula for capacitance in series :

C1×C2 / C1+C2

and we get

Given data ,

Q1 = -1 ×10^-2

Q1 + Q2 = equivalent

(adding both the quantities we get)

The total charge .

therefore,

kQ1/r1 = kQ2/r2

now,

Q1/1 = Q2/3

Q1 = 1/4 ×4×10^-2

now the final obtained answer will be,

Q1 = 10^-2

and Q2 = 3×10^-2
