The distance between successive crests of a wave is know as wavelength
The number of oscillations taken per unit time is know as frequency.
Time taken to complete a cycle of vibration to pass a given time is called time period.
The maximum extent of a vibration or oscillation, measured from position of equilibrium is know as amplitude.

Hey!

_______________________

• Wavelength - Wavelength can be defined as the distance between two consecutive troughs or crests in transverse waves. In longitudinal waves, the wavelength is the distance between two compressions or rarefactions. SI unit of wavelength is m , and denoted by Greek letter lamda (λ).

• Frequency - Frequency can be defined as the number of oscillations in one second. SI unit of frequency is Hertz (Hz) and it denoted by nu (v).

• Time period - Time period can be defined as the time taken to complete one complete oscillation, one complete sound wave/vibration. SI unit of time period is second (s) and is denoted by capital T.

• Amplitude - Amplitude is defined as maximum displacement in sound wave on either side of its mean position.
