Question :- calculate the mass of iron in 10kg of iron ore in which it contains 80% of pure ferric oxide

Answer:- first of all we can write the given values

We want to calculate the mass

Here 10kg is the value of iron ore

Here 80% of it contains pure ferric oxide

In 10,kg ........80% of Fe2O3 means it is 8Kg

So,...here the number of moles of Fe2O3 is given as

8000g/160
That is equal to 50 moles

Then now for one mole of Fe2O3 there will be 112kg of iron

And for the 50,moles it will be

50 X 112 = 5600g

= 5.6 kg

HOPE IT HELPS
