Decomposers are the organisms which convert dead and decaying matter into organic matter of the soil. They break down the complex organic compounds present in dead animals and plants, which are then used by other members of the ecosystem. Decomposers like bacteria and fungi  are known as saprobes.

Whenever something dies in the forest these are the decomposers that break the dead material down in order to provide nutrients for the soil.Examples of decomposers include bacteria, fungi, some insects, and snails, which means they are not always microscopic. Fungi, such as the Winter Fungus, eat dead tree trunks. Decomposers can break down dead things, but they can also feast on decaying flesh while it's still on a living organism.HOPE HELPFUL PLEASE MARK AS BRILLIANT
