Given :-

  • Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle

  • Area of square = 100 cm²

  • Length of rectangle = 14 cm

To Find :-

  • Area of the rectangle

Solution :-

Area of square = a²

→ a² = 100

→ a = √100

→ a = 10 cm

Side of the square = 10 cm

★ Perimeter of square = 4a

→ 4 × 10

→ 40 cm

Perimeter of square = 40 cm which is also equal to perimeter of rectangle

★ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

→ 2 ( 14 + B ) = 40

→ 28 + 2B = 40

→ 2B = 40 - 28

→ B = 12/2

→ B = 6 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 6 cm

Area of rectangle = L × B

→ 14 × 6

→ 84 cm²

Area of the rectangle = 84 cm²
