p(2)=3x3-2x2-7x-2

=3(2)3-2(2)2-7(2)-2

=24-8-14-2

=0

Therefore, 2 is the zero of p(x)

p(-1/3)=3x3-2x2-7x-2

=3(-1/3)3-2(-1/3)2-7(-1/3)-2

=-3/27-2/9+7/3-2

=-3 -6 +63 -54/27

=63-63/27

=0/27

=0

Therefore, (-1/3)is the zero of p(x)
