....We know...that Altitudes make 90° with base and hence....
AL//BM
Also since ABCD IS A TRAPEZIUM...
therefore..
AB//CD
Therefore....

QUAD ....ABML IS A //gm
AB=LM ( opp sides of parallelogram)
therefore LM = 7cm
Now in triangle ALD
(AL)²+ (LD)² = (AD)²
THEREFORE LD = 3cm ....also
SIMILARLY MC = 3cm
Therefore
DC= 13cm (x)
AREA OF TRAPEZIUM....
= 1/2 ( p1+p2 )h
= 1/2× 20×4
= 40cm²
