Given:-

  • Mass of Ball = 50Kg

  • Initial Velocity = 20m/s

  • Time given = 0.1s

  • Final Velocity = -20m/s

To Find:-

  • Which options are Correct ?

Formulae used:-

  • \sf{ F = m\times{\dfrac{ v - u }{ t }}}

  • Change in momentum = mv - mu

Now,

\sf{ F = m\times{\dfrac{ v - u }{ t }}}

\sf{ F = m\times{\dfrac{ - 20 - 20 }{ 0.1}}}

\sf{ F = 50\times{\dfrac{-40}{0.1}}}

\sf{ F = \dfrac{ -2000}{0.1}}

\sf{ F = -20000N.}

Hence, The Force exerted by bat on ball is 20000N.

So, Option "D" is Correct.

Now,

→ Initial momentum =mu → 50 × 20 → 1000kgm/s²

→Final momentum = mv → 50 × -20 → -1000kgm/s²

Change in momentum = mv - mu

→ -1000 - 1000

→ -2000kgm/s²

Therefore, The Change in momentum is - 2000kgm/

So, Option "a" is also Correct
