Area of a square = a²
sum of the area of two square = a² + b² = 64
perimeter of square = 4a
sum of perimeter of two square = 4(a+b) = 64
= a+b = 16
now, we know that , (a+b)² = a²+b²+2ab
=16² = 64 +2ab
= 192 = 2ab
= ab = 96
so, (a-b) ²= (a+b)² -4ab
= (a-b) =√( 16²-4×96) =
