No , because they are not in the same period. Elements of same period have same no. of shells and as we go down a group the no. of shells increases with an addition of one shell in each period as we go down in a group.
Ex: in group 2, beryllium has 2 shells as it is in period 2. Then as we go down, magnesium has 3 shells as it is in the 3 rd period. Similarly, calcium has four shells.
