there are many reasons for that but the main one is that the rulers of different regions of India are not united. They revolt only for their freedom not for freedom of whole nation

1.There was lack of a national leader.

2.There was lack of filling of nationalism in indian.

3.Only few parts of india participated in this revolt.

4.Lack of resources.
