specific resistance (p) = 40 *10^-6 ohm cm = 40*10^-7 ohm m

length of wire(L) = 50 cm = 0.5 m

diameter of wire = 0.2mm = 2*10^-4 m

radius of wire (r) = 1 *10^-4 m

Cross sectional area (A) = pi*r^2

= 3.14*(1*10^-4)^2

= 3.14*1*10^-8

= 3.14*10^-8

Using the formula,

R = p*L/A

R = 40*10^-8*0.5 / 3.14*10^-8 = 6.4 ohm

Using ohm's law,

I = V/R

I = 2/6.4 = 0.314 A
