In the poem "Wind" by Ruchika Gupta, the poet converses with the wind. The force of the wind has been portrayed and the poet says that wind is damaging.

  • He has connected the damaging force of the wind to the misfortunes of life and says that the frail individuals separate, yet more grounded individuals arise out of difficulties, more grounded.
  • The sonnet gives a significant message that we ought to be intellectually extreme and genuinely impressive to endure the difficulties of life. A powerless individual separates like a frail structure and crumbles.
  • We should make these disastrous powers our companions, with our solidarity and assurance.

In stanza 9,

  1. The poet is addressing the "wind".
  2. The poet wants the wind to blow softly.
  3. The wind has scattered the papers. When the wind is very powerful, all the books which are kept on the shelf fall down.
  4. The poetic device used here is anaphora i.e. the repetition of certain words, personification, and, alliteration.
