a) The image formed is laterally inverted

The image formed is virtual.

The image formed is erect.

The image distance is equal to the object distance.

b) h = 5cm

u= -20cm

f= -30cm

 \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{u}  +  \frac{1}{v } \\  -  \frac{1}{30}   +  \frac{1}{20 }  =  \frac{1}{v}  \\  \frac{ - 2 + 3}{60}  =  \frac{1}{v }  \\   \\  \frac{1}{60}  =  \frac{1}{v }  \\ v = 60cm

m =  \frac{ - v}{u}  \\ m =    \frac{ - 60}{ - 20 }  \\ m = 3 \\ m =  \frac{h1}{h }  \\ 3 =  \frac{h1}{5 }  \\ h1 = 15cm

a)The characteristics of the image formed by plane mirror are:-

1-same size

2-upright

3-same distance from the mirror as object in front of the mirror

4:-virtual

b)Given, height of the object=5cm, u= -20cm, f= -30cm.

1/f=1/v+1/u

1/v= -1/30 +1/20

1/v= 1/60

v=60cm.

h2/h1= -v/u

h2/5= -60/-20

h2=15cm.
