we know that Triangle ABC is a right angled triangle

So,

    By Pythagoras theorem,

(AC)^{2}  = (AB)^{2} + (BC)^{2}

(AC)^{2} = (2)^{2} + (4.5)^{2}

(AC)^{2}  = 4 + 20.25

(AC)^{2} = 24.25 cm

AC = \sqrt[2]{24.25}

AC ≈ 4.92 cm

∴ Displacement = 4.92 cm
