So

Rs= 10ohm

I = v/R = 40/10 = 4ampare

potential difference across 4ohm resistor = 4*4 = 16v

in the given question three resistor are in parallel

so

1/Rp = (1/5 + 1/10+1/30 )ohm

1/Rp = 10/30ohm

Rp = 3ohm

v = 12v (given)

So from ohm's law

v = IR

I = v/R

I = 12v/3ohm = 4A
