Answer:

Area of second food = area of rectangle + area of 2 triangles

= L×W + H×B

let's find height by Pythagoras Theorem

(4.5)^2 - (3.5)^2 = 20.25 - 12.25 = 8

Hence height is √8 = 2.83

Area = 7×3 + 2.83×3.5

= 21 + 9.91

Area of second food= 30.91 cm^2

Now, let's find area of third food

area = area of rectangle + area of cemicircle

= L×W + 1/2 πr^2

= 7×4 + 1/2 × 3.14 × 1.75^2

= 28 + 4.8

= 32.8 cm^2

hence, ant should eat food piece no. 3
