Antheridium of pteridophytes can be compared to stamen of gymnosperms.

Antheridium is a structure that contains the male gametes or sperms. More than one antheridium is collectively known as antheridia which together forms the androecium.

A collection of stamens (the pollen-producing male reproductive structure in flowering plants or gymnosperms) are also called androecium. Hence these two structures are analogous to each other and perform the same function in different types of plants.
