Given:-

  • No.of books in his room = 115

  • No. of books each box can hold = 17

To Find:-

  • No. of boxes does Anthony need.

Solution:-

It is given that Each box can hold 17 books

and, the no. of books in Anthony's room is 115

• No. of boxes = Total No.of books/No. of books each box hold

• n = Total books/No. of book in each box

Substitute the value we get

→ n = 115/17

→ n= 6.67

→ n = 6.67 ≈ 7

Therefore, the no. of boxes that Anthony needs is 7 box.

Solution

Given,

  • number of books in his room is 115 .
  • number of books each box can hold is 17 .

To find,

  • we have to find your how many boxes are needed .

How to find ?

  • we can simply find it by dividing the total number of books with the number of book each box can hold .

 \blue{ \: no \: of \: books \:  =  \frac{total \: no \: of \: books \: }{no. \: of \: books  \: each \: box \: can \: hold} }

now putting the values we get ;

 \blue{ =  > no \: of \: books \:  =  \frac{115}{17} }

 \blue{ =  > no \: of \: books \:  = 6.67}

in approx 6.67 if we convert it by the round of method it will be 7 .

7 boxes are needed .
