Antibiotics and other drugs are used to kill the microbes then why do they not affect us adversely?

We Have many microbes in our surroundings such as bacteria,virus etc.....

let me tell about Antibiotics that I know. Antibiotics are used to block bio-chemical pathways of bacteria like, bacteria make a cell wall themselves to protect which is absent in human beings. The Antibiotic Penicillin blocks the process of building a cell wall in bacteria as a result these bacteria will not be able to produce the cell wall.this results in death of bacteria.

As human cell do not have a cell wall these antibiotics do not harm us it is simply because we do not have such a cell wall.

This is how Antibiotics work.
