Ants are amazing little creatures. What they like most is sugar. When an ant finds food it carries a small of it to its nest. As it goes, the ant leaves a trail that other ants can smell the other ants now begin to follow this trail and find food. When they return with the food, they also leave a trail behind them. Thus the path from the food to their nest becomes thorough fare for ants. They can't see but smell; for they have feelers in their noses. The feelers help them decide if what they touch is good enough to eat. Ants are of many types black, brown, red, big, or small. Some, like the black ants, eat fruit and grass. So we find them in gardens, trees and farms. Some eat the dead bodies of other insects, but most ants like sweet - tasting food. Questions What are the ants fond of? 2 .
