Given :-

  • Anu will win the game if they get a red King or a Jack .
  • Aditya will win the game if they gets a non-ace card
  • Rina will win the game if they gets neither a king nor a queen .
  • Rohan will win the game if he gets a face card.

Answer :-

→ Total cards in pack of cards = 52 .

now,

→ Favourable outcomes of Anu winning = A red king + Jack = 2 + 4 = 6

then,

→ Probability of Anu winning = 6/52 = (3/26) (Ans.a)

and,

→ Favourable outcomes of Rina winning = Neither a king nor a queen = 52 - (4 + 4) = 52 - 8 = 44

then,

→ Probability of Rina winning = 44/52 = (11/13) (Ans.b)

now,

→ if the card picked is a face card Rohan will win .

and,

→ Favourable outcomes of Aditya winning = non ace cards = 52 - 4 = 48

then,

→ Probability of Aditya winning = 48/52 = (12/13) (Ans.d)
