we know that cost + profit = selling price

where profit = costprice * profit percentage

so profit = x*15% = 0.15x

and selling price = x + 0.15x = 1.15x

so anu sold to manu for 1.15x

then manu sold to banu for loss of 5%

= 1.15x - 1.15x(5)% = 1.15x - 0.0575x = 1.14.9425x

and given sales price = 1311

1.0925 = 1311

x= 1311/1.0925 =1200 is the cost price for while anu bought that saree
