Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of coins be x.

2 rupee coin be 2x.

5 rupee coin be 5x.

1 rupee coin with the total number of coins is 40 will be 40 - 2x.

Given value is 120.

On solving (1), (2),(3),(4), we get

2x + 5x + (40-2x) = 120

2x + 5x + 40 - 2x = 120

5x + 40 = 120

x = 80/5

  = 16.

The number of 2 coins and the 5 rupees coins will be x = 16.
