Given :-

  • Selling price of shirt = 725 Rs
  • Loss = 25
  • Gain he wants from shirt = 20 %

To find :-

  • Charge for the shirts if he wants to gains 20%

Solution :-

At first we need to find Cost Price of Shirt and CP will be put in the formula which will give charge for the shirts if he wants to gains 20%.

{\underline{\underline{\sf{Cost \:   Price \:  of  \: Shirt \:  is :  }}}}

 \boxed{\sf{\implies{Cost \:  price = Selling  \: Price + Loss}}}

{\sf{\implies{Cost \:  price = 725 +25}}}

 \boxed{ \blue{\sf{\implies{Cost \:  price = 750 \:  Rs  }}}}

__________________________

{\underline{\underline{\text{\bf{Charge for the shirts if he wants to gains 20 \% :  }}}}}

Now, When

  • Profit = 20 %
  • Then selling price should be or charge.

{\sf{\longmapsto{ Selling  \: price = \cfrac{C.P (100 + Profit \:  \%) }{100}}}}

{\sf{\longmapsto{ Selling  \: price = \cfrac{750 (100 + 20) }{100}}}}

{\sf{\longmapsto{ Selling  \: price = \cfrac{750 (120) }{100}}}}

{\sf{\longmapsto{ Selling  \: price = \cfrac{75(12) }{1}}}}

{\sf{\longmapsto{ Selling  \: price = 75 \times 12}}}

{ \large{ \underline{ \boxed{ \red{\sf{\longmapsto{ Selling  \: price = 900  \: Rs }}}}}}}

So, charge for the shirts if he wants to gains 20% is 900 Rs .
