In indirect speech there are many rules and tables but simply rule is that they inverted comma sentence is changed present into past and past into past perfect.  

For e. g. Meera said,, I have a fever ,, .

Ans. Meera said that she had fever.  

Note..  There is no inverted comma that is why I use this, comma sign but it is inverted comma.  

Ans: Anurudha said that she shall hand him over the police.
